I've seen it multiple times. A young team of developers is starting to implement Scrum. In short, Scrum is a framework that improves productivity and creativity, and deals with complex problems. It originated in the early 90. So it's been around for a while, meaning numerous teams have used it and time has perfected it. Scrum is simple, but not easy.

Still, when a new team implements scrum, the team probably will not see an immediate improvent. So, it looks for an explanation. And what would be a better way than blaming it on the framework. So they conclude the framework does not work for them.

Really? The numbers indicate otherwize. Scrum works. Thousands, maybe even millions of teams have used scrum over the past 40 years. So, it worked for them. Why wouldn't it work for you? Maybe, instead of adapting the framework to your team, you have to adapt the team to the framework. So, the problem is us? Yes, the problem is us. At the center of all our problems is us!
