I once worked for a company where people were complaining about to many meetings (sounds familiar, doesn't it). So management decided to introduce 'Meetingless Fridays'. This way people had at least 1 day they could focus on their 'actual' job.

What happened is that all Friday Meetings where rescheduled to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. So the number of meetings was actually not decreased.

What people actually were complaining about is to many 'unproductive' or 'ineffective' meetings. So, before introducing a meetingless Friday, the company needed training on how to make meetings more effective and productive.
