Level 2 is all about relationships. It's called the Permission level because, at this stage, people follow you not because they have to, but because they genuinely want to. It's about liking and valuing individuals, treating them well. When you do this, you start to gain influence and build trust. This positive environment extends to various aspects of life—whether you're at home, work, playing, or volunteering.

Unlike Level 1, where it's mostly about holding onto your position, Level 2 is different. Here, the focus is on getting to know your team, figuring out how to get along with them, and building relationships. Leaders learn about their team members, and in turn, followers get to know their leaders. It's about creating strong, lasting connections.

Sure, you can like people without leading them, but if you want to lead effectively, you need to genuinely like the people you're leading. That's the essence of Level 2. It's about building relationships that go beyond just the roles and titles—a key ingredient for successful leadership.
